Everyone seems to be talking about twitter... it used to be MySpace, then Facebook, now it's twitter- it's hard to keep up with this stuff. Yes, I have signed up, but its pretty pointless unless you are following someone - if you would like to follow me, my username is ccattermole. If you would like to watch a quick video on what twitter is then follow this link to watch a quick explanation...

10.5: Print to any PCL printer in 10.5
This is an update to my previous hint regarding printing to PCL printers that don't support PostScript (such as the Ricoh Aficio 2035e).
The good news is that 10.5 has essentially made the previous hint irrelevant. There is no need to install 'hpijs' or any other printer drivers. 10.5 comes with Generic PCL drivers built-in. Simply locate your printer after clicking '+' in the System Preferences Print & Fax pane. From the pop-up menu next to Print Using, choose 'Select a driver to use...' and type in PCL. You'll see a list of generic PCL drivers -- just choose the one appropriate for your printer (PCL 6 works with the Aficio 2035e). That's it; you're printer should now work in 10.5.[From 10.5: Print to any PCL printer in 10.5]

How To Download Bulk Flickr Photos (PC Only)
I have a Flickr Pro account, and have been very happy with the service, There are plugins for most graphic manipulation programs that allow you to right click and send a copy of the image to your Flickr account, making it very easy to upload images. This makes it a perfect place to keep a backup of your family photos... However, up until now, I have not been able to find a way to download several photos at once, making retrieving those photos rather difficult in the case of a hard disk failure on your PC/Mac.
I have just discovered FlickrDown. Check it out and let me know if you discover one for Macs!

Man Shoots Mate Saving Him From Saltwater Crocodile
This is the front page of our local newspaper today (The NT News):
Bittorrent
We all know what it is, and what it's for, if you need to learn more take a look at Slyck.com
What I use:
On a PC, i highly recommend uTorrent. Unfortunately though uTorrent is not available on the Mac. So for OS X I use Azureus.
Both these applications have the ability to use a schedular, which will allow you to download your torrents during your ISP's off-peak period.
Where to search?
There are a number of terrific websites, including the infamous The Pirate Bay, Mininova, and there is also a couple of great site that are dedicated to searching for torrents - Isohunt, youTorrent.

ExchangeIS is run by Ben Hoffman, who I worked with at the Charles Darwin University before he left to work with Nestle in Sydney - lucky man!
AllAboutExchange is run by George Sang, who like Ben was an Exchange Administrator has moved from Charles Darwin University to work in Sydney...
